ISO 20000 CertificationCACI Technology Insights, Inc. is First CACI Division to Achieve ISO 20000 CertificationCACI Technology Insights, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of CACI - known internally as the Applied Information Technology (AIT) Operating Group - has joined an elite group of organizations worldwide certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as adhering to the broad range of best practices presented in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Known as ISO 20000, this standard of quality benchmark offers customers clear criteria to assess service levels, measure performance and implement continuous improvement. As Randy Fuerst, our Chief Operating Officer points out, "ISO 20000 certification establishes CACI in the forefront of enterprise IT management." Why is ISO 20000 important? "ISO 20000 is recognition that CACI is at the forefront of delivering best practices for IT service management," says Cal Shintani, AIT's Senior VP and Operating Group Manager. "The federal government is beginning to see ISO 20000 as key to achieving true performance-based contracts, so CACI's ISO 20000 Certification will be a huge discriminator for us in the federal IT marketplace. Additionally, it helps us deliver better service to our customers with measurable and repeatable processes." Because CACI was one of the first companies in the country to go through the ISO 20000 certification process, there were no lessons learned from previous certifications. Instead, the CACI ISO 20000 team put together a checklist that allowed them to map each clause of the ISO 20000 specification to the documentation that CACI developed. |
