As DoD pushes toward more commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions it is facing a greater need to integrate those solutions with each other and with existing systems. With more than 40 commercial products developed in-house, CACI has more than 45 years of defense specific experience and technical expertise to ensure your systems, both COTS and existing, are seamlessly integrated.

A few of our current DoD projects with ongoing, critical integration work

Procurement Desktop - Defense (PD²)

We are currently deploying our PD² system to nearly 900 DoD contract office sites worldwide. The software is a version of our commercial Procurement Desktop system customized for defense and is already in place at countless commercial and government offices around the globe. PD² will need to integrate and interface with dozens of existing defense information systems and we are working with DoD to ensure things go smoothly. When this massive project is complete PD² will connect 46,000 procurement users throughout all DoD contract offices in a shared environment.

U.S. Air Force's Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC)

CACI is working with AEDC to reengineer business processes for maintenance, logistics, financial and business management systems. We are also leading AEDC in the effort to integrate these reengineered processes with COTS software solutions. CACI analyzed, modeled and baselined both the existing and new systems. Working with AEDC, we performed a gap analysis and a function point analysis to support a legacy system shutdown. In addition, we have conducted a successful pilot implementation at one of AEDC's engine test facilities. This project not only proved that COTS is a viable solution for AEDC, but also delivered immediate benefits in asset configuration control and effective work practices.

Momentum

A key component of our DoD Financial Enterprise Solutions Practice, Momentum is operational in seven large federal agencies and we are implementing it in six others. More important, Momentum recently enabled a DoD agency to receive its first set of CFO compliant, auditable financial statements.
