CACI Selected as a Top Employer for Veteran Hiring by Profiles in Diversity Journal
Profiles in Diversity Journal has selected CACI as one of the 25 Most Influential Employees for Veteran Hiring in its January/February 2014 issue. CACI was chosen as a recipient for its work supporting veteran recruiting, hiring, and assimilation. The publication pointed to the company's team of Military Hiring Specialists, who are dedicated to providing real-time live assistance with resume writing, the job application process, answering questions, and providing status updates on applications.
Veterans make up more than 20 percent of CACI's workforce, and the company hired more than 800 veterans - including 260 veterans with disabilities - in Fiscal Year 2013 alone. CACI's veteran-specific hiring efforts include its Deploying Talent - Creating Careers program, which champions the hiring of veterans with disabilities, and a partnership with The Aurora Foundation that matches college students with military experience for internship positions at CACI. The company's enrichment programs geared toward veterans include an employee resource group for veterans and military spouses, seminars focused on veteran-related issues, and participation in philanthropic activities benefiting service members and their families.
CACI regularly receives recognition for its veteran hiring initiatives. Most recently, the company was named a 2014 Top Military-Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs Magazine and a 2014 Top Military-Friendly Employer for Spouses by Military Spouse Magazine. CACI also received the 2013 Veteran Hiring "Continuing the Commitment" Award from the Coalition for Government Procurement. And in February, the company re-affirmed its commitment to National Guard and Reserve employees by signing the new Statement of Support from DoD's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) organization.
